Edinburgh Business School (EBS) is the Graduate School of Business at Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, one of the UK’s 100 Royal Charter Universities. It offers a wide range of applied management and business programmes for on campus and distance learning students. EBS prides itself on preparing its students for the real world of business so they can use the knowledge and skills they gain to give pratical benefit to their organisations. All courses offered by EBS are Postgraduate Programmes falling under level 7 of the National Qualification Framework with the exception of the Doctorate in Business Administration which falls under level 8. EBS programmes are also accredited by the Malta Qualifications Authority, due to EBS having the UK Royal Charter. The programmes provided here in Malta are delivered through distance learning, students receive an EBS dedicated study book and an online system for every subject of their course. EBS programmes are totally flexible! The programmes can be studied in any order (having a degree prior to entry). You take exams when you’re ready. There is no time limit to complete the programme, you can study at your pace, from the comfort of your home or anywhere else, with a full time job and a family to take care of!

The EBS programmes offered in Malta through MIM

Doctorate:

MBA- Consisting of 9 subjects (referred to as modules) 7 being mandatory and 2 to choose:

Postgraduate Diplomas and Certificates

Diplomas consist of 6 subjects 5 being mandatory and 1 to choose whilst Certificates consist of 3 subjects, one of which must be a core subject.

All EBS programmes are assessed by a 3 hour written examination in Malta, there are no additional assessments such as reports, assignments or thesis. EBS programmes are renowned for their flexibility, such that you can commence and end the programme at your own pace. You can sit for any number of exams in any of the exam sessions which are held every year in two main sittings being June/July and November/December and two minor sittings being March and August. Even though EBS programmes have no official timeframes for completion, an average student takes 3 – 4 years to complete the Masters Programme on a part time basis.
